Itinerary
Bat Trang Ceramic Village
We will pick you up at the hotel for an hour-long car ride heading northeast of Ha Noi, along the left bank of the Red River, to Bat Trang Village. Known for its beautiful ceramics, the village is surrounded by fertile farmland and filled with shops selling ancient and modern ceramics. This booming trade not only preserves traditional crafts but also supports the local economy.
During your visit, you will have the chance to chat with local artisans and observe them at work. You can even try your hand at the craft by sitting behind a potter’s wheel, learning how they create ceramic vases and other masterpieces. The process of making these ceramics involves many steps, including choosing the clay, drawing designs, mixing additives, forming shapes, and firing in kilns. It’s meticulous work, requiring the skill and dedication of hard-working artisans.
Feel free to take photos with the craftsmen and purchase handmade ceramic gifts for your relatives or friends. This experience offers a deeper insight into the craft village and its people, allowing you to appreciate the rich heritage of Bat Trang.
