Itinerary

Day 1 How to get to Sapa
  • Your trip starts with a journey from Hanoi to Sapa town, we recommend taking an overnight bus or by train.
If traveling by bus, you can get to Sapa easier by dropping off directly at the main town, otherwise taking the night train is an experience and you have to catch another bus to transfer to Sapa from Lao Cai station.

  • Fansipan Mountain Trek with Camping (L/D)

You will start the trip to conquer the roof of Vietnam and Indochina:

    Medium trekking route:
At about 08.30, you will take a bus (17km) to Tram Ton Pass, the highest pass in Vietnam located at 2,100m above sea level. You can visit the Silver Waterfall en route. Enjoy the wonderful scenery and then begin the strenuous trek to the peak. After roughly 6 hours of trekking through the primitive jungles, across the numerous small streams and bamboo forests, you will have climbed to about 2,200m, the point at which you pitch your tent, have dinner and spend your first night on the mountain

    Hard trekking route:
Around 08:30, you will walk from Sapa town through villages and terraced fields and through valleys to start infiltrating the Black Hmong Sin Chai village. After about 6 hours of walking through the primeval jungle (this part of the forest is quite dense and slippery, some parts are steep mountains), passing through countless small streams and bamboo forests, you will climb to a height of about approx. 2,200m, here you can pitch a tent, have dinner and spend the first night on the mountain.
The temperature at night here is very cold, the conditions for hygiene and bathing are limited. You will be provided with a sleeping bag to spend the night in the tent.

Day 2 Fansipan Summit (B/L)
  • You will have very early breakfast at the camp and then head for the summit by way of pine and yellow bamboo forests. After an arduous 4-hour climb, you will finally conquer the roof of Vietnam and Indochina. Spend up to one hour enjoying breathtaking views of the splendid rolling mountains, the small villages of Lai Chau Province and the picturesque town of Sapa. After you have lunch, you will descend the mountain to Sin Chai Village of the Black H'mong. You will then travel to Sapa.

An option to return to Sapa by cable car, this is a great way to see the Fansipan mountain range from above, it allows you to capture the best views over the terraced rice fields of Hmong village.

Return to Hanoi the same way or stay in Sapa longer.
