Itinerary

Stop 1

The Caves of Hercules are situated below the Cape Spartel, and could be reached from Robinson beach. So you can visit the legendary Caves of Hercules and enjoy the panoramic views.
The cave has two openings, one to sea and one to land. The sea opening is known as "The Map of Africa". It is believed that the Phoenicians created the sea opening which is in the shape of Africa when looked at from the sea. There are also some markings on the wall in the shape of eyes. That are said to be made by the Phoenicians, which make up a map of the local area.

Cape Spartel (Cap Spartel) is situated 14 kilometers west of Tangier, the far northwest coast of Africa on the northern Atlantic coast of Morocco. The Spartel Cape was built in 1864 by Sultan Muhammad III and is located about 1,000 feet above sea level at the entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar and it is consider a special place in Tangier because it connects with the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean and has wonderful views, next to the lighthouse, where you can go up and take memorable photos.

The American Legation Museum, also in the medina, documents early diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Morocco in an 1821 Moorish-style former consulate.
For atmosphere and photography, this area is one of the best places to visit in the city. Tangier is also one of the best places to visit and base yourself while exploring the northern Atlantic Coast and the Mediterranean Coast. the return to Casablanca in the late afternoon.
