Itinerary
Cruise Arrival: Old Port or Cable Car Station
After your ship’s tender arrives at Fira Old Port, the meeting process depends on the option selected.
Guests with the private water taxi option will meet our team at the Old Port and board their private boat to Athinios Port.
Guests with the cable car or tour-only option will take the public cable car independently and meet their local guide outside the upper cable car station in Fira.
Detailed meeting instructions and live WhatsApp assistance will be provided before arrival.
Firostefani and the Three Bells of Fira
Begin with one of Santorini’s most recognisable caldera viewpoints. See the famous blue-domed church of the Three Bells of Fira and enjoy panoramic views across the volcano and the Aegean Sea.
Imerovigli (Pass by)
Drive through Imerovigli, Santorini’s highest caldera village, known for its dramatic cliffside position and uninterrupted volcanic views.

Return to the Ship
Round-trip water taxi guests return by private vehicle to Athinios and board their private boat back to the Old Port.
One-way water taxi guests finish near Fira and use the cable car down to the Old Port.
Your return timing is planned around your ship’s instructions, with a safety buffer for the tender journey back aboard.

- Important Cruise InformationCruise ships do not dock at Santorini’s Old Port. Your ship will arrange its own tender service to bring passengers ashore. Your meeting point is reached only after you have boarded your ship’s tender and arrived at the Old Port.Please make sure you provide pick up information details upon booking: Cruise ship name and a traveler phone number that works with mobile data and WhatsApp.Late Tender PolicyWe understand that tendering is controlled by the cruise ship and can sometimes take longer than expected.
- For private water taxi bookings, the boat can normally be held for approximately 30–45 minutes, subject to port instructions, operational restrictions and safe boating conditions.
- Please remain in live WhatsApp contact with us. If the delay becomes longer, we will assess whether the water taxi can be rescheduled or whether the cable car should be used instead.
- A significantly late arrival may require the itinerary to be shortened. Protecting your return-to-ship timing will always take priority over fitting in every planned stop.
- Weather and Sea ConditionsPrivate water taxi service operates only when the captain and relevant authorities consider sea conditions safe.
- If the water taxi cannot operate but your cruise ship is still tendering passengers to the Old Port, we may offer the cable car as an alternative and adjust the meeting point.
- Guests who are particularly sensitive to boat movement may prefer the cable car option from the beginning.
- If your cruise ship is unable to tender passengers ashore, the excursion cannot operate and the applicable ship-misses-port terms will apply, which means that we will provide you a full refund of the excursion.
