Itinerary
KOTOR
Pick-up from the selected hotels within the Kotor city area.
Depart Kotor and continue along steep slopes to the Lovćen Mountain. This is an area of powerful contrasts. Cold Montenegrin mountains from one side and the wealth and mildness of one of the most beautiful bays in the world on the other side.
NJEGUŠI
Our first stop is a picturesque village of Njeguši where the guests will enjoy local snacks: smoked ham and cheese, homemade bread and wine.
CETINJE
The road carries you on to Cetinje, a one-time center of the Montenegrin rule, today a museum town. Here you will visit King Nikola’s Museum followed by a scenic ride along the Budva Riviera, the best-known summer resort in Montenegro, before arriving back to Kotor.
KOTOR
Arriving back to Kotor.
The old part of the town of Kotor developed within a small triangular area enclosed by the city walls which extend to the Fort of St. John. During a guided tour through this charming little town your experienced guide will show you, among other places, the 5-km long city walls built by a Venetian who began working on them in 1420 and continued strengthening them until the middle of the 18th century. Enclosing the Old Town, the walls formed a unique fortification project which resisted attacks for months and survived long sieges. The Cathedral of St. Triphon built in 1166 is a Romanesque basilica whose nave is separated from the aisles by the alternating square pillars and antique columns.
