Itinerary

Day 1 Hanoi - Overnight Train - Lao Cai station
  • 9:00 pm : You will get pick up at hotel (in old quarter area. If you are outside of old quarter, please contact us for more detail). Then transfer to Hanoi Railway Station and catch the night train to Lao Cai station (Lao Cai province).
    Train leave at 10 PM.  Types of cabins: Tourist 4-berth cabin. (Tourist trains also run VIP cabin where the upper berths are removed, allowing for more space and privacy for just 2 or 1 people). Travel time is approximately 8 - 9 hours

    NIGHT 1: OVERNIGHT TRAIN FROM HANOI TO LAO CAI

  • Lao Cai station - Sapa town

    At 5:30-6:15 am: Arrive Lao Cai train station. Be greeted by our tour guide and driver upon arrival at Lao Cai train station, before being transferred to Sapa village, by a shared tourist bus. The bus ride uphill to Sapa takes a little over an hour, and will give you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces as you make this short trip.
    Once arriving in the hotel in Sapa, an early check in follows if room is available, otherwise in the interim, you will have access to a basic room for your refreshment (clothes changing, take shower...) , before enjoying breakfast prior to going on the morning tour.

  • Hanoi Arrival

    You arrive at 5.30 am - 6.00am at Hanoi Train Station, from where you can easily catch a taxi to hotels in the Old Quarter on your own. Or a walk about 10 minutes to Hotels in Old Quarter of Hanoi. Thank you very much.

Day 2 Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa (B-L-D)
  • DAY 1: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa (B-L-D)

    09:30 – Start the day with 6km of walking down to the Southeast of Sapa along Muong Hoa Valley to Y Linh Ho village, the home of the Black H’mong. Then, you will continue walking for another 3km down to Lao Chai village. Stop at the village for lunch. After lunch, continue trekking through the rice terraces to Ta Van village of the Tay minority. This trek is relatively easy although the trail can be quite slippery if it rains. For that reason, good footwear is recommended.

    15:00 – Return to Sapa by shared bus and check into the hotel. You will then have free time to explore Sapa town, especially its market with all the colorful handicrafts.

    Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Sapa Town.

    NIGHT 2: OVERNIGHT AT HOTEL IN SAPA TOWN

Day 3 Cat Cat village – Sapa (B-L)
  • DAY 2: Cat Cat village – Sapa (B-L)

    8:00 – After breakfast, you will begin the second day of your adventure by exploring the villages which are located a little bit further to the Southwest of Sapa (around 4 km) including Cat village, the home of the Black H’mong people

    This trek offers some stunning views of a picturesque waterfall and the vestige of a hydro-electric power station which was built in the early 20th century.

    Here you can also watch the local villagers working on the paddy rice fields and the kids playing. Enjoy the opportunity to take close-up pictures of water-buffaloes, pot-bellied pigs, and chickens. Have lunch in the village at noon.

    Later, you continue to hike for another 3km to Sin Chai village, situated at the base of Hoang Lien Son Mountain with Fansipan Peak, which is also known as the roof of Vietnam and Indochina. Enjoy the panoramic view of the village and have more photo opportunities before heading back to Sapa Town.
