Le Kock
Our first tasting stop introduces you to one of Reykjavik’s most creative kitchens. Here, you’ll enjoy smoked wild goose on sourdough with horseradish cream and pickled vegetables. This stop highlights modern Icelandic cuisine with strong ties to local ingredients and tradition.
Bæjarins Beztu Pylsur (The Famous Hot Dog Stand)
Visit Iceland’s most iconic hot dog stand, operating since 1937. Try a hot dog “with everything,” featuring fried onion, raw onion, sweet mustard, ketchup, and remoulade. This stop is a must for understanding everyday Icelandic street food culture.
Taste of Iceland
At this curated local food store, you’ll sample a variety of Icelandic products. This stop introduces you to unique flavors and traditional foods you might not encounter elsewhere, giving you insight into Iceland’s culinary heritage.
Icelandic Street Food
Enjoy a warm and comforting traditional Icelandic dish such as lamb soup or fish stew, depending on availability. You’ll also try dessert and taste a shot of brennivín, Iceland’s signature schnapps. This stop brings together classic Icelandic comfort food in a relaxed setting.
Optional Stops (Seasonal & Group Dependent)
Sægreifinn (The Sea Baron)
One of Reykjavik’s most beloved seafood restaurants, known for its famous lobster soup. This stop is sometimes included depending on the schedule and availability.
Old Harbour House
An alternative evening stop located by the old harbour, offering great views and a cozy atmosphere.
Kolaportið Flea Market (Weekends Only)
Weekend tours may include a visit to Iceland’s oldest flea market. Here, you can sample traditional Icelandic foods and experience local food culture in a lively market setting.
