Arrival in Accra - Monday December 26, 2022

  • Arrive in Accra, Ghana. Transfer to your hotel. Hotel check-in is at 3 pm. Upon arrival, Hausa Tours will welcome you to the Motherland with authentic, Ghanaian cuisine before you settle in for the evening.

Day 2

Accra City Tour - Tuesday December 27, 2022

  • Embark on a Full day city tour of Accra visiting the W.E.B. DuBois Center, the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and Park, Museum of Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, the Arts and Crafts market and the Makola Market, Accra’s biggest open-air market. Drive through Old Accra which was divided into Dutch and British Accra as a result of the two European nations operating from different locations within the same township of a little under 1sq kilometer. Stop at the Independence Square, Accra’s open-air ceremonial grounds where all national celebrations are held, for photo opportunity. Enjoy a welcome dinner with traditional entertainment including an exhibition by tailors and dressmakers who design casual wear and formal garments that are made from local fabric and textile. Evening is free to explore the nightlife in Accra.

Day 3

Afrochella Festival - Wednesday December 28, 2022

  • Today, get your flyest festival outfit together, because we’re hitting AFROCHELLA, the largest growing festival in the continent of Africa brings together millennial talents from and within Africa for an amazing day of Black excellence. You’ll be spending the one of the last days of 2022 partying with the locals and listening to the sounds of local and international artists. Feel the music, free your mind, and enjoy an incredible lineup of ground breaking icons and emerging talents in art, culture, and fashion. Check out the bespoke African art & textiles, crafts, apparel, the pop-up dining installations and much more while on the festival grounds.

Day 4

Afronation Concert - Thursday December 29, 2022

  • In the morning, you may choose to participate in cooking lessons or drumming and dancing lessons. Early evening, head out to one of the most anticipated Ghanaian events of the year; Afro Nation 2023, one of the biggest urban music beach festivals in Africa. (To be Confirmed)

Day 5

Explore Ghana's Eastern Region - Friday December 30, 2022

  • In the morning you would be picked up in Accra from your hotel or any location of your choice and drive on the winding Akuapim Ridge to visit the Aburi Botanical Gardens which was established in 1890 as a convalescent centre for the British Colonial officers governing the Gold Coast as Ghana was then known. Continue to visit and enjoy a hike to Boti Waterfalls. There are over 250 concrete steps that you must walk on before reaching this beautiful nature. There is an optional hike to see the Umbrella rock also located within the same area before heading back to Accra.

Day 6

Kakum National Park & Cape Coast Slave Castle Tour - December 31, 2022

  • Depart Accra early morning on a 3-Hour drive to Ghana’s Central Region. Visit Kakum National Park, one of Ghana’s most famous parks. Take a brief walking tour on the forest floor to experience the Kakum canopy walkway, Africa’s only aerial walkway through the tree canopy. The canopy walkway is about 1000 foot long and is made up of seven-bridge walkway with viewing platforms that reach heights of over 150 feet above the forest floor. Learn at first hand the cultural and medicinal values of the flora and fauna in the forest. Visit Cape Coast Slave Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was departure points for Africans being sent to slavery in the Americas. The castle is home to the infamous "Door of No Return". Depart Cape Coast for a return trip to Accra. by driving past the village of Abandze, the ancestral home of Louis Armstrong, the famous American jazz musician.
