Day 3 3 day excursion for hiking and kayaking in Kalavrita, Achaia

Kalavryta Active Getaway is a 3 day / 2 night active tour in the traditional little town in mountainous northern Peloponnese.
Having as your base the hospitable Orias Guesthouse & Farm explore the regions highlights through our exciting Vouraikos Gorge Hike and a day of canoeing in lake Tsivlos.
After a warm welcome and a good rest get ready for 2 days of active discoveries. The first day we will enjoy a hike in the 20Km long Vouraikos Gorge, part of the Chelmos-Vouraikos National Park, renowned for its lush vegetation and incredible natural diversity!
Our return back to our base will be very exciting as we will be embarking for a ride on the “Odondotos” Rack Railway climbing our way up to Kalavryta. The ride is so beautiful, as the funicular passes through the impressive Vouraikos Gorge, that it has been described as “the most spectacular rail route” of the Balkan area. On our second day of adventure we drive to the magnificently bluish green Lake Tsivlou at an altitude of 800 meters which we explore on our kayaks.
