Why we love it?

This 4-day trek from Cusco to Machu Picchu follows the Salkantay Trail, offering a challenging alternative to the Inca Trail with high-altitude hiking over a 4,650-meter pass. Along the route, you will pass through the villages of Soraypampa and Santa Teresa, experiencing indigenous mountain communities and stunning views of the Salkantay and Humantay peaks towering above 6,000 meters. The journey concludes in the town of Aguas Calientes, where you can visit Machu Picchu at sunrise with a guide. This tour suits travelers prepared for physically demanding hikes who want to explore less-traveled Andean landscapes en route to one of Peru’s most iconic archaeological sites.
