Prophet Ilias Monastery

The monastery was established in the 18th century. The view from the highest point of the island (567 meters) is more than rewarding. You will enjoy the striking view and the fresh air.

The traditional village of megalochori is well known for the historical homes, mansions and the bell tower of ‘Marmita’ church. Prehistoric settlements and vineyards are waiting to be discovered. All cobbled streets and edge pathways lead to the square of the village.

Akrotiri Lighthouse was built in 1892. Its is a square-shaped tower that looms above 10 meters from the lighthouse warden's house. The view of the caldera is stunning and it is considered to be one of the best spots to enjoy the sunset.
