Mercado central
The Central Market of Fortaleza is the largest handicraft market in northeastern Brazil. Like several other cities in the Brazilian northeast, Fortaleza stands out for its production of high-quality handicrafts and for the talent of its artisans. Here you will find leather products such as sandals, shoes, hats, bags and suitcases; fabric works such as bed linen, embroidery, T-shirts, and lace tablecloths. In addition, crafts are produced with many other materials such as sand (the famous little bottles with drawings made in sand), wood, glass, coconuts, etc. that you can buy as souvenirs.
Catedral Metropolitana de Fortaleza
The present church was built on the site of the old church. The work took forty years to complete, starting in 1938, and was inaugurated in 1978. It has a capacity for five thousand people and its towers reach 75 meters high. It appears in the neo-Gothic or moderate Gothic style, occupying a large part of Peter II Square, and was inaugurated on December 22, 1978.
The tour ends with the transfer of the passengers back to their hotels.
