The city is surrounded by native flora in each corner. The ruins we are going to visit was designed by the Jesuits and built by the guaranies. The building was finish in 1610 and used for 400 years. Later it was covered by the jungle and last century was discovered and re-builded by a group of scientists.

The stones extracted from the mines are turned into gems and used for jewelry making.
