Itinerary
Hotel pickup 830 am
We pick up everyone around 830 am and head for the shop in the center of town.
Safety briefing at the shop
We spend a short time at the shop to test ride the bikes, fir lifejackets and helmets. We also provide a kayak briefing , especially helpful for our newcomers.
45 minute drive to our destination , the Mae Ngat valley .
A short drive with a pit stop at 711 and we have arrived neat Wat Ban Den our first cultural stop by bike
Bike ride through Mae Ngat Valley and visit of Wat Ban Den Temple
An amazing temple city , Wat Ban Den awaits us at the west side of the Mae Ngat valley. After absorbing Thailand rich culture we continue our ride across the Mae Ngat Valley through rice fields, markets and small villages. On the way we are stopping at markets and connecting with locals in the farm fields until we reach our Kayaking start point at the beginning of the forest reserve.
2 hr Kayak trip through the Mae Taeng Forest Reserve
After we tackeled our 15 km bike ride we are ready to jump in to the river, into a kayak that is , some enjoy a quick swim first, to cool off. The kayaking through the forest is peaceful and refreshing. We travel at a compfortable and relaxed pace as we admire the jungle walls dressing the river banks. 2hrs in we arrive at our take out , ready for our late lunch.
Lunch at the Mango Plantation Restaurant
A delicious meal awaits us at our secret mango Plantation Restaurant , here in a country plantation setting we reflect of the days events and bond with like minded nature lovers.
1 hr return drive to Chiang mai, aprox 430 pm
All good things come to an end , a short 1 hr drive puts us back into the city and hotels. Yes we do deserve a massage now .
Children : This Bike trip is suitable for children from 5 years old accompanied by an adult in a double kayak. 13 years and above , single kayak is suitable
