Drive to Milesti Mici cellar
“Milestii Mici”
Mileștii Mici is the largest wine cellar in the world with more than 200 km of limestone tunnels, 55 km of which are used for the storage and production of wines. The cellars have a huge wine collection of 1,5 million bottles which is the largest wine collection in the world according to the Guinness World Records Book. Visitors have a unique opportunity to travel through the underground galleries by electric train, car, or bicycle. The temperature is around 12-14 degrees Celsius and remains constant throughout the year, while the humidity ranges from 85% to 90%. Tours are open for children accompanied by adults and are free of charge for kids under 10 years old.

At hilly and vast shores of beautiful Moldavian land, there is an old and wonderful tradition of gathering people at a jar of wine, having a cup of divine drink, and wishing to each other Good Luck – ‘Hai, Noroc!’. "Cricova" JSC is a pearl of Moldovan wine that represents a unique underground city well-known all over the world for its huge labyrinths, and especially for its excellent wines. "Cricova" is the first winery in Moldova which makes sparkling wine as it was prepared by the monk - wine maker Pierre Perignon. The technology "Méthode Traditionnelle" is a complex and thin process, consisting in secondary, in-bottle fermentation and the subsequent maturation "cuvée".
