Step 1

The guide will take you to the Great Halls and the famous Galleries

  • Small Group Guided Tours & Private Tours have a maximum of 15 people per tour guide
  • Galleries and artwork visited on the tour are subject to change dependent on gallery closures and artwork loans,
  • Both Museum locations are closed on Wednesdays
  • The Main Museum on 5th Ave. Is normally open: 10AM – 5PM Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; 10AM – 9PM Friday and Saturday
  • The Met Cloisters in uptown are normally open 10AM – 5PM
  • The pre-orientation experience option is shown as 2 hours long. It includes the 30-minute pre-orientation experience and then self-guided time in the Museum. You can off course spend longer than 90 minutes in the Museum if you want, but this is the minimum amount of time you should allow.
