Itinerary
Step 1
After morning pickup at your hotel in Jaipur, travel in your air-conditioned private vehicle for two hours to reach Kalakho. Along the way, view rural parts of India where villages have clay-walled homes with thatched roofs and peepal trees.
Upon arrival, tour the village by local transport to see farms and crops cultivated in traditional fashion, and witness rural life in India, where homes do not have electricity and people cook over the chulha (traditional stove made of clay).
Join the locals for cooking and other activities. Sip Indian Masala tea (chai) in the shade of a huge tree, learn tricks for bargaining in the local market, and get a henna tattoo from homemade henna.
Before the tour ends, sit with your host family for a lunch of typical Rajasthani cuisine and conversation facilitated by your guide's translations.
Head back to Jaipur where you will be dropped back off to your hotel upon arrival.
