The legendary chronicle ‘Ramayana’ proclaims that ‘Rumassala’ is a chunk of Himalayan Mountains in India that was brought by Hanuman to find medicine for Lakshman when he was injured in the battle with Ravana.

You will be taken to Ussangoda. Ussangoda is the place where King Rawana’s airport was constructed and his big peacock shaped air craft landed.

Evening, visit Kataragama Hindu Temple. This is dedicated to God Kataragama. God Kataragama has a link to the Ramayana legend, Lord Indra has been given orders to God Skandha to join the battle at the last day of the war to protect Lord Rama from the powerful wrath of king Ravana.

Day 2 Drive to Nuwara Eliya
