Wat Rong Khun is a unique temple stands out through the white color and the use of pieces of glass in the plaster, sparkling in the sun. The white color signifies the purity of Buddha. It was designed by Chalermchai Kositpipat, a famous Thai visual artist.
Wat Rong suea ten or Blue Temple, it’s just as striking, painted in an eye-catching blue with overlays of gold embellishments. The centerpiece inside the great hall, is a huge statue of a White Buddha in sitting position surrounded by contemporary Buddhist art in a modern style.
Chiang Rai's Big Buddha for its large white statue that is actually a representation of the goddess of Mercy, Wat Huay Pla Kung is a quite recent temple, became a must-see place for any visit. The temple is also contain 9-storey pagoda that you can climb to the top for a view of the surroundings. A staircase with impressive dragon heads goes up.
