Itinerary
| Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & Saqqara
Day 1 | Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & Saqqara
Your journey begins with a visit to the legendary Pyramids of Giza, one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world. Explore the majestic pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, enjoy panoramic views across the plateau, and stand before the mysterious Great Sphinx.
After discovering Giza, continue to Saqqara, the vast necropolis of ancient Memphis and home to the remarkable Step Pyramid of Djoser, considered the oldest large-scale stone structure in history. This site offers a fascinating insight into the early development of pyramid building and ancient funerary architecture.
At the end of the day, return to your hotel in Cairo.
Optional add-on: Guided visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).
| Alexandria Full-Day Tour
Day 2 | Alexandria Full-Day Tour
After breakfast, travel to Alexandria, the historic Mediterranean city founded by Alexander the Great. Known for its unique blend of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman heritage, Alexandria offers a completely different atmosphere from Cairo.
During your guided tour, visit the famous Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, one of the most important burial sites from the Greco-Roman period. Continue to Pompey’s Pillar, one of Alexandria’s most iconic monuments, and then visit the impressive Qaitbay Citadel, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
Depending on time, you may also enjoy views of the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina from outside and experience the charm of Alexandria’s coastal setting before returning to Cairo for overnight.
| Old Cairo, Citadel & Khan El Khalili
Day 3 | Old Cairo, Citadel & Khan El Khalili
On your final day, explore the rich religious and cultural heritage of Cairo. Begin in Old Coptic Cairo, one of the oldest parts of the city, where you can visit important Christian landmarks such as the Hanging Church and the historic church area associated with the Holy Family’s journey in Egypt.
Continue to the magnificent Citadel of Saladin, one of Cairo’s most famous landmarks, where you can admire panoramic views over the city and visit the beautiful Mosque of Mohamed Ali, also known as the Alabaster Mosque.
End your journey with a visit to the lively Khan El Khalili Bazaar, where narrow lanes, traditional shops, local crafts, and the spirit of old Cairo create a memorable final impression of Egypt.
After the tour, transfer back to your hotel or airport as per your schedule.
