Enjoy the beautiful landscapes along the way, with rolling hills and farmland, and take a short stop at a viewpoint for photos. Arrive at your lodge or resort in time for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you can spot hippos and a variety of bird species such as fish eagles and kingfishers. Afterwards, take a guided walk on Crescent Island, a peaceful sanctuary home to giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife, offering great close-up viewing opportunities. Later return to your lodge or resort for dinner and an overnight stay.
Depart early from Lake Naivasha after breakfast and drive through the Great Rift Valley escarpment with a short stop for photos and stretching along the way. Continue towards the Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for check-in your camp, and a brief lunch break. After some rest, head out in the late afternoon for an extended game drive in the Masai Mara, where you explore the vast savannah in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and possibly cheetahs as the sun begins to set. The evening game drive offers the best chance to witness predators becoming active and herds moving across the plains in golden light. Return to your lodge or camp after sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.
The next day will be spent fully in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Guests will explore the Mara’s rolling plains, riverine forests, and acacia-dotted landscapes, encountering a rich diversity of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, antelopes, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Picnic lunches will be enjoyed within the reserve, surrounded by the stunning wilderness. Optional activities at an additional cost include a hot air balloon safari over the Mara plains with bush breakfast, visits to a local Maasai village for a cultural experience, or guided nature walks in designated areas (at an extra cost). During the stay, guests can relax and enjoy the lodge’s amenities, take in the breathtaking scenery, and immerse themselves fully in the Mara’s unique environment, with overnight stays at the lodge or Camp.
After breakfast and check-out, depart the Masai Mara National Reserve and drive back to Nairobi, a journey of approximately 5 hours, enjoying your final views of the Great Rift Valley along the way. En route, stop for health breaks before, proceeding to Nairobi, enjoy some last-minute shopping at the Maasai Market or one of the city malls before being transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your international departure flight, marking the end of your memorable Kenyan safari.
