Itinerary

Visit Wat Phukhao Thong

Visit Wat Phukhao Thong. This temple is located outside the city of Ayutthaya. It was built by U-Thong in 1357 for meditation. In 1592, when King Naresuan defeated the Burmese crown prince, he commanded a large pagoda built at this temple to match the height pagoda.

Ayutthaya Royal Palace

Arrive at Ayutthaya or Ancient City (the second capital of Thailand). Visit the Ancient Palace and Wat Phra Si Sanphet, which was the capital for 417 years. Afterward, visit Wat Phra Mongkol Bopit, one of the largest bronze Buddha images in Thailand.

Wat Lokaya Sutha

Visit Wat Lokayasutha, the image of the Reclining Buddha.

Wat Mahathat

Visit Wat Phra Mahathat. This temple is located in front of the Grand Palace. The construction was begun during the reign of King Borom Rachathirat I in 1374 A.D.
