Pick-up in the Capital Area

Your driver-guide picks you up at your accommodation anywhere in the Capital Area, or at your cruise terminal, and you head north along the coast towards the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.

Ytri Tunga Beach

Your first stop is the famous golden-sand beach of Ytri Tunga, known for its resident seal colony. Unlike Iceland’s typical black beaches, this shoreline offers a unique landscape. Enjoy watching seals resting on the rocks and take beautiful coastal photos.

Rauðfeldsgjá Gorge

Visit the hidden gorge of Rauðfeldsgjá, a dramatic canyon tucked into the mountainside. Walk toward the narrow entrance and explore this mystical natural formation. This stop offers a short adventure and stunning photo opportunities.

Gatklettur Rock (Arnarstapi)

  • Beach safetyAt Djúpalónssandur, strong waves can run far up the beach without warning. Please stay well back from the water and follow your guide's advice.
  • ChildrenChildren of all ages are welcome on the tour. Hvammsvík welcomes guests from 10 years of age, and guests under 18 must be with an adult.
