Step 1

The Pyramid of Menkaure (Mykerinos)

The Great Sphinx of Giza
The Eternal Guardian of the Horizon Carved from a single massive outcrop of limestone, this legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head of a king (Pharaoh Khafre) is the world’s largest monolithic statue. Step 7
The Valley Temple of Khafre
The Gateway to Immortality Before a Pharaoh was laid to rest, he was brought here. This incredibly well-preserved temple, made of polished pink granite and alabaster floors, was the site of the sacred "Opening of the Mouth" ceremony. The precision of the stone-cutting here is so advanced that you cannot even fit a credit card between the massive blocks.
