Ben Tre – Mekong Delta Day Tour

At 07:30 AM meet your tour guide at the your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, and then board the VIP Ford Transit limousine for the 90-minute ride to My Tho province. During the ride you’ll have views of lush green/yellow rice paddy fields and scenes of local life.  The first stop on this full-day program is to visit Vinh Trang pagoda, the largest pagoda in the Mekong delta. Afterwards, continue on to My Tho, where you’ll board a boat for a cruise along the Mekong River.  The boat will take you onto a small canal, where you’ll leave hectic city life behind. Pass beneath coconut palms lining the canal on your way to Coconut Island in Ben Tre.  Disembark and enjoy a walk around the village, stopping to meet a local family and taste tropical fruit, honey tea and honey wine. Enjoy the sounds of traditional Vietnamese music performed by the villagers.  Visit the village’s coconut candy shop, see how the candy is made and also see some handicrafts made from the coconut palm. Continue your walk through fruit orchards, admiring the flowers, trees and other natural scenery.  Head to a local restaurant for lunch and enjoy special Vietnamese dishes. After lunch have half an hour to relax in the shade of the trees, take another walk around the village or go biking.  Then it will be time to return to the ferry, and head back to Ho Chi Minh City in the comfort of your VIP Ford Transit limousine. You can either get dropped of at your hotel or attend a traditional water puppet show (if option selected).
