Upon arrival, settle into one of the huts and enjoy a delicious lunch to fuel up for the exciting adventure ahead. Our professional guides will introduce you to the basics of ice climbing, from using crampons to mastering the ice axe, ensuring a safe and thrilling glacier experience.

Begin your first trek with a 1-hour hike to the lower glacier, where you'll have the chance to practice essential ice climbing and mountaineering techniques.

Spend 3-4 hours honing your skills with the guides and climbing gear, including ice climbing on small walls with safety ropes.

Afterward, return to base camp for a hot dinner and a well-deserved rest, gearing up for the high-altitude challenge that awaits on the next day.

Day 2 : Ascent to High Camp (5,200 m)
  • After breakfast, set out on a 3-4 hour hike to the high camp, situated at the base of the glacier on a rock buttress. The path is well-defined, with a gradual ascent that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Cordillera Real. With every step, you'll be immersed in the majestic landscapes, making this part of the journey truly unforgettable.

Upon reaching the high camp, take some time to prepare your gear for the summit climb the following day.

Enjoy a warm dinner and a well-earned rest in the mountain refuge, replenishing your energy for the challenging ascent ahead.

Day 3 : Summit Climb (6,088 m) & Return to La Paz.
  • The adventure begins early, around 1 AM. Dress warmly as temperatures will be cold, and begin your ascent with crampons and climbing gear, guided by headlamps under the starry sky.

The climb follows a glacier trail, with two challenging sections, including a 33-foot ice and snow wall at approximately 5,600 meters, known as Pala Chica. Continue upwards towards 6,000 meters, where you'll get your first view of the summit.

After 5 to 6 hours of intense effort, you will reach the summit at 6,088 meters, rewarded with breathtaking views of the Altiplano, Lake Titicaca, and the majestic Cordillera Real.

After celebrating your achievement and capturing unforgettable photos, descend back to the high camp. Take a short rest, pack your gear, and make your way down to base camp.
