Day 1

Welcome to İzmir (Smyrna)

    Welcome to İzmir!

    Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy some time to settle in. At 1:00 PM, meet your guide for a welcome briefing before beginning your exploration of this vibrant Aegean city.

    Start your journey with a visit to the ancient Agora of Smyrna, once the bustling heart of Roman-era trade and daily life. Continue to Kadifekale (Velvet Castle), where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views over the city and the Gulf of İzmir. Then visit the historic Church of Saint Polycarp, one of the oldest churches in the city, rich in history and religious significance.

    In the evening, enjoy a relaxing dinner along the lively Kordon Waterfront, famous for its seaside promenade, cafés, and beautiful sunset views.

Day 2

Pergamum Discovery – Ancient Wonders of the North Aegean

    After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive (approx. 2 hours) to Bergama, the site of the ancient city of Pergamum, one of the most powerful cultural centers of the Hellenistic world.

    Explore the magnificent Pergamon Acropolis, dramatically perched on a hilltop overlooking the valley below. Here, you will visit the impressive Theater of Pergamon, one of the steepest ancient theaters in the world, and the remains of the Temple of Zeus at Pergamon, once a grand sanctuary dedicated to the king of the gods.

    Continue to the remarkable Red Basilica, a massive Roman temple complex later converted into a Christian basilica, showcasing layers of religious history.

    After your visit, you may choose to stay overnight in Bergama for a more relaxed experience, or return to İzmir.

Day 3

Thyatira & Sardis – Tracing Ancient Civilizations

    After breakfast, depart for Thyatira (approx. 1.5 hours), one of the ancient cities mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Explore the remains of the basilica and visit the small local museum, offering insight into the city's early Christian heritage.
    Continue your journey to Sardis (approx. 1 hour), once the capital of the ancient Lydian Kingdom and home of the legendary King Croesus. Here, you will visit the impressive Temple of Artemis at Sardis, the grand Sardis Gymnasium, and the beautifully restored Ancient Synagogue of Sardis, one of the largest synagogues of the ancient world.
    After the tour, continue to your hotel for an overnight stay in Salihli or Alaşehir.

Day 4

Philadelphia & Laodicea – Echoes of Early Christianity

    After breakfast, visit Philadelphia, one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. Explore the remains of a Byzantine-era church and sections of the ancient fortress walls, offering a glimpse into the city’s enduring spiritual heritage.

    Continue your journey to Laodicea (approx. 2 hours), an important ancient city known for its wealth and significance in early Christianity. Discover its impressive ruins, including ancient theaters, agoras, and remarkably preserved early Christian structures.

    After the tour, drive to Pamukkale, famous for its stunning white travertine terraces and thermal waters.

Pamukkale & Ephesus – Natural Wonders and Ancient Glory

Day 6

Ephesus – A Journey Through Ancient Splendor

Walk along its marble streets and discover iconic landmarks such as the stunning Library of Celsus and the impressive Grand Theater of Ephesus, once capable of holding thousands of spectators.

    Continue to the remains of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You may also choose to visit the sacred House of the Virgin Mary or the historic Basilica of St. John, both important pilgrimage sites with deep religious significance.

    After your visit, enjoy a comfortable drive back to İzmir (approx. 1 hour).
