Let’s Explore the Pamukkale
We will start our Pamukkale Hierapolis tour by exploring the Pamukkale mountain and its terraces. The rock formations in Pamukkale contain hot spring with terraces of carbonate minerals that relax for bathing. Travertine is a kind of rock. As a result of chemical reactions, precipitation has occurred on the rocks.
Pamukkale travertines & Natural Spring Water
The area where Pamukkale travertines are located is a thermal region with many hot water sources. The temperature of the hot water sources coming out in seventeen different sources ranges from 35 degrees to 100 degrees. These spring waters have been used for medical purposes since ancient times. Since the spring water is perfect for rheumatism, thousands of people visit Pamukkale for health tourism and its natural beauty.
After wandering in Pamukkale
we will go to the ancient city of Hierapolis. This ancient city, which was famous for its baths in historical times, is a civilization that has hosted many people who want to treat themselves. We will also visit the Roman Amphitheater, an authentic historical center, the St Philippe Basilica, the Necropolis, and the Cleopatra pool. Finally, after lunch in a nearby restaurant, we go back to Antalya and your resorts.
Step 4
Travelers have the option to swim in the Cleopatra Pool, a historic thermal spring surrounded by ancient Roman ruins. The pool contains submerged marble columns from a collapsed temple, and its warm mineral waters are believed to have healing properties.
