Itinerary
Stop 1
Your adventure begins at Lake Qarun, a tranquil natural lake surrounded by desert hills. Believed to be one of the oldest lakes in the world, it's a peaceful retreat where you might spot migratory birds gliding across the water. The lakeside views offer a calm, meditative pause from Cairo’s hustle — perfect for photos and fresh air.
Stop 2
Next, explore Wadi El Rayan, a protected desert valley famous for Egypt’s only waterfalls. The sight of cascading water in the middle of arid land is as surprising as it is beautiful. Stroll around the falls, feel the breeze off the water, and enjoy the contrast of nature at its most unexpected.
Stop 3
Around midday, you’ll pause for a delicious local lunch, often served at a countryside lodge or garden café near Tunis Village. Expect a home-style Egyptian meal featuring fresh vegetables, rice, grilled meats, and local flavors. It’s a chance to relax and refuel while enjoying warm hospitality in a tranquil setting.
Stop 4
Your final stop is Tunis Village — a peaceful artist community known for its handmade pottery and creative spirit. Walk through shady lanes, peek into workshops, and meet the artisans behind the famous ceramics. It’s the perfect spot for browsing unique souvenirs and capturing the slower rhythm of village life before returning to Cairo.
