Itinerary

Step 1

Meet your guide in your hotel lobby at 9:00 AM to begin a half-day tour of the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Travel from your hotel in Cairo to the iconic Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus, exploring the last surviving Wonder of the Ancient World.

Egyptologists believe the Great Pyramid of Giza (Cheops) was built as a tomb for Pharaoh Khufu over 14 to 20 years around 2560 BC.

During the tour, enjoy a 25-minute camel ride, with your guide assisting in capturing memorable photos.

**Note:** You have the option to enter any of the pyramids, including the Great Pyramid, for an additional fee. The camel ride is included.

Step 2

Standing in front of one of the Seven Wonders of the World—the Great Pyramid!

**Note:** If you wish to enter the Great Pyramid, you can purchase an entry ticket at the ticket office for an additional cost. Your guide will assist you with the process.

Step 3

Standing in front of the Menkaure Pyramid in Giza, Egypt, you are witnessing the smallest of the three main pyramids of the Giza Plateau. Built for Pharaoh Menkaure, this pyramid stands at approximately 65 meters (213 feet) and is unique for its original granite casing at the base. Unlike the Great Pyramid, which is primarily constructed of limestone, Menkaure’s pyramid showcases a blend of limestone and granite, making it a fascinating architectural wonder.

**Note:** If you wish to explore the Menkaure Pyramid from the inside, you can purchase an entry ticket at the ticket office for an additional cost. Your guide will assist you with the process.

Step 4

We will stop at this scenic spot, giving you the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photos with the Menkaure Pyramid as your backdrop. This is also where you will experience a memorable camel ride across the Giza Plateau, allowing you to take in the breathtaking views of the pyramids from a unique perspective. Your guide will assist in taking photos to ensure you have lasting memories of this incredible experience.

Step 5

Standing in front of Khafre’s Pyramid in Giza, Egypt, you are witnessing the second-largest pyramid on the Giza Plateau, built for Pharaoh Khafre around 2570 BC. Unlike the other pyramids, Khafre’s Pyramid still retains some of its original smooth limestone casing at the top, giving a glimpse of how all the pyramids once looked. It stands at 136 meters (446 feet) and is often mistaken for the largest due to its elevated position on bedrock.

**Note:** If you wish to explore the interior of Khafre’s Pyramid, you can purchase an entry ticket at the ticket office for an additional cost. Your guide will assist you with the process.

Afterward

continue to the Great Sphinx, an iconic limestone statue with the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion, believed to date back to the reign of Pharaoh Khafre (Chephren). The Sphinx was built to guard the pyramids and remains one of the most mysterious monuments of ancient Egypt.

Next, visit the Valley Temple, which was part of Khafre’s pyramid complex. This temple played a crucial role in the purification and mummification rituals of the king before his burial. Its well-preserved granite pillars and alabaster floors provide a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient Egyptian ceremonies.

After exploring these incredible sites, enjoy a delicious lunch at a VIP restaurant with your guide, where you can relax and reflect on your journey through ancient history.

Finally, you will head back to your hotel, concluding your unforgettable tour of the Pyramids of Giza.
