Ataturk Dam
Ataturk Dam, one of the giant-sized Earth-Rock-filled dams worldwide, is the biggest dam in Turkey over the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. Named after Mustafa Kamal Ataturk, with an area of 817 km2, the Ataturk Dam reservoir is the primary source of fisheries and seafood in Adiyaman. The Dam hosts an international sports festival in September or October every year.

Adiyaman Archeological Museum
Adiyaman Archeological Museum is located at the heart of Adiyaman city. The region’s most affluent museum houses southeastern Anatolia project exhibitions, including drills and cutting tools, axes, weapons, iron and bronze-age jewelry, pottery of copper age, statues, and Roman, Hellenistic periods’ artifacts, and an elegant collection of Ottoman and Seljuq era.
