Hotel Pick-Up
Your journey begins when an experienced guide picks you up from your hotel and introduces you to the cultural heritage of Zanzibar.
First Stop – Kindergarten / Preparatory School
The tour starts with a visit to a local preparatory school, where your guide will explain how the Zanzibar education system works, from the age children begin school to when they complete their studies.
Guests will have the opportunity to interact with the students, take photos, and learn more about their daily school routine.
Optional Support:
Those wishing to offer support may bring or purchase simple school supplies such as pens, pencils, notebooks, or erasers. These items are always appreciated.
Second Stop – Local Village Experience
The next stop is a village visit, where guests gain insight into the true lifestyle of Zanzibari residents. This includes local traditions, cooking methods, handcrafts, religion, clothing, marriage customs, and even traditional beliefs such as traditional healing practices, witchcraft beliefs, and ancestral spirit traditions.
You will also visit Ngonga Cave, an important site tied to local history and cultural beliefs.
This experience is especially suitable for visitors who wish to connect with the real Zanzibar beyond the beaches and well-known tourist zones.
Optional Support:
Guests who wish to support the villagers are encouraged to bring or purchase items such as rice, flour, soap, or sugar. You may also bring gently used clothes to donate, "what you no longer need may be truly valuable to someone else". Your generosity will be warmly appreciated.
Third Stop – Mtende Beach / Secret Beach
The tour concludes at Mtende Beach or Secret Beach, where you can enjoy the stunning coastline, swim, relax, take memorable photos, and taste a variety of fresh tropical fruits.
End of Tour
After the beach visit, you will be driven back to their hotel.
