About This Tour

Our specialty is customizable tours along South Africa’s stunning Cape Whale Route. On this private day trip from Cape Town to Hermanus, you and your family can explore the gorgeous coastal scenery and local wildlife in a luxury vehicle with your own knowledgeable guide/driver. You can fully customize the tour or follow your guide’s recommendations.

This combined tour offers the best of both worlds: whale watching and wine tasting. Along the way, stop at two wine estates on the return to Cape Town for tastings and/or lunch (own expense). Choose the estates you’d like to visit, with options including Newton-Johnson Family Vineyards and Creation Wines.

The tour also includes a visit to Stoney Point, home to a colony of African penguins, where you can learn more about these fascinating birds.

Cape Town Central | Duration: 15 minutes

I will be driving into Cape Town Central, known for its stunning architecture and rich cultural attractions. The area offers a wide range of activities, from exploring historical landmarks to enjoying modern entertainment and the vibrant city life.

5. Betty's Bay, | Duration: 60 minutes

Betty’s Bay is a small coastal town located about 90 km southeast of Cape Town, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and the colony of African penguins at Stony Point Nature Reserve. It is one of the few places in the world where you can observe these penguins in their natural habitat.

Hermanus | Duration: 3 hours

Whale Season: The prime whale-watching season in Hermanus runs from June to the end of November. During this time, southern right whales migrate to the warmer waters of the South African coast to calve and nurse their young. The peak season is typically from August to October, when whale sightings are most frequent and the weather is generally favorable.
