About This Tour

Overview

Two easy days in nature: enjoy a scenic river tubing float and an ethical Elephant Feeding experience (no riding, no shows) with Sunshine for Elephants, then stay overnight in our riverside dorm at base camp. All activities and the dorm are in the same riverside area, so there’s no extra transfer between the activity and your room. Day-1 dinner and Day-2 breakfast are included.

Highlights

  • Relaxing river tubing float (≈50–75 min) through lush jungle scenery
  • Natural limestone waterfall slide (~45 min)
  • Elephant Feeding with Sunshine for Elephants (ethical, no riding/shows)
  • Overnight dorm stay at our base camp (shared room & shared bathroom)
  • Small groups, friendly local guides, round-trip Chiang Mai city transfers

What to Expect

Day 1 – Tubing, Elephant Feeding & Camp Life
Late-morning hotel pick-up (Chiang Mai city) to Mae Taeng. Safety briefing, then float downriver on comfy tubes (≈50–75 min). After the tubing float, head to a hidden limestone cascade for a natural rock-slide session (~45 min). Then shower and meet the elephants with Sunshine for Elephants—prepare fruit and feed them up close (no riding/shows). In the late afternoon, check into the shared dorm, unwind at camp, and enjoy a simple Thai dinner.

Day 2 – Your Choice

  • Relax & Early Return: depart camp ~09:30, drop-off in Chiang Mai ~11:30–12:00.
  • Add-on Activities (extra cost; special discounts for our 2-day guests):
White Water Rafting (Mae Taeng River)
    ATV Ride (guided off-road route)
Half-Day Elephant Program (ethical visit — no riding/no shows)
    Zipline Adventure (forest platforms)
We’ll arrange everything; timings depend on availability.

Sustainability & Community Impact

This experience is part of Tubing Chiang Mai’s Eco Community Project. We keep groups small, stay on existing paths, and follow strict welfare: no riding, no shows, no forced contact—interactions happen calmly at the elephants’ pace. We operate low-plastic and provide chilled water refills; please bring a reusable bottle. A share of proceeds maintains jungle trails, funds litter clean-ups, and supplies first-aid kits for community rangers.

One Tree, One Trip — For every booking, we plant one native tree with the local village network to help restore river and forest habitats in the Mae Taeng valley. When conditions allow, guests may help plant or sign a tag for a sapling; otherwise, our team plants on your behalf and monitors growth.

Responsible Travel

  • Dress respectfully in villages and ask before photographing people.
  • Follow your guide around the elephants and keep a relaxed pace.
  • Please do not bring outside food for wildlife.
  • Drones require prior approval.
  • Pack out everything you bring in. By choosing this tour, you support ethical elephant care and community-led conservation. Thank you for traveling responsibly with us.
