Drive to the national park from Puerto Natales on the first day of the trip Your trek begins after you have carried out all the necessary paperwork at the national park entrance.
Reach the French Valley on the third day of the trip. Trek past the beautiful Lake Pehoe on the last day. This trip comes to an end in Puerto Natales. Get the chance to see all the three highlights in the circuit, Base Torres, French Valley and Grey Glacier, during this trek. For more details, please go through the itinerary below.

Day 1 : Puerto Natales - Central Tower

Departure from Puerto Natales at 07:30 hours by regular bus service to Torres del Paine National Park. Arrival at 09:45 a.m. at the Laguna Amarga entrance gate where you will check in and pay your entrance fee. Change buses to Estancia Cerro Paine Welcome Center. Short hike to Refugio Torre Central to check-in and leave the backpacks in custody to start the hike to Torres Base. Torres Base Hike (Distance: 11 km / Approx. time: 7 - 9 hrs / Difficulty: High).

Dinner in the dining room. Lodging Refugio Torre Central

Day 2 : Central Tower Refuge - Los Cuernos

Breakfast in the dining room of the refuge and pick up of the Box Lunch. Hike to Los Cuernos sector, bordering the Nordenskjold Lake. (Distance: 12 km / Approx. time: 4,5 hrs / Difficulty: Medium). Dinner in the dining room. Lodging at Los Cuernos Lodge.

Day 3 : French Valley - Paine Grande Refuge

Breakfast in the dining room of the refuge and pick up of the Box Lunch. Hike to Campamento Italiano CONAF (Distance: 5 km / Approx. time: 2.5 hrs / Difficulty: Medium). In CONAF you have the option to leave your backpack with the park ranger to ascend to the French Valley (Distance: 3 km / Approx. time: 2.5 hrs / Difficulty: Medium).

Hike to Paine Grande Refuge. (Distance: 7 km / Approximate time: 2,5 hrs / Difficulty: Easy-Medium). Dinner in the dining room. Lodging at Paine Grande Refuge.

Day 4 : Refugio Paine Grande - Refugio Grey

Breakfast in the dining room of the refuge and pick up of the Box Lunch. Hike to Refugio Grey, passing by different viewpoints. (Distance: 11 km / Approximate time: 3,5 hrs / Difficulty: Medium).

In the afternoon optional trekking to Hanging Bridges with panoramic view to the Grey Glacier. (Distance: 4 km / Approximate time: 4 hrs / Difficulty: Medium). Dinner in the dining room. Lodging at Refugio Grey.

Day 5 : Refugio Paine Grande - Lake Pehoe - Puerto Natales

Breakfast at the Refugio's dining room and Box Lunch. Hike to Paine Grande. (Distance: 11 km / Approximate time: 3.5 hrs / Difficulty: Medium).

  • Option 1: 11:30 Navigation by Lake Pehoé in Catamaran Hielos Patagónicos arriving around 12:00 to Pudeto.
  • Option 2: 18:30 Navigation by Lake Pehoé in Catamaran Hielos Patagónicos arriving around 19:00 to Pudeto.

    Our family had a wonderful time trekking through the stunning landscapes filled with iconic glaciers and breathtaking valleys in Torres del Paine. The accommodations were cozy, providing a nice respite after long days on the trail, although we did wish there were more dining options nearby.

    Exploring the breathtaking valleys and iconic glaciers of Torres del Paine was an unforgettable experience for our family. While the trek was exhilarating and the accommodations comfortable, we did find some trails to be a bit crowded at times, which took away from the serenity we hoped for.
