San Telmo - Meeting point

Our walking tour starts at our office in San Telmo. We will take Defensa St. to the very heart of San Telmo: One of the oldest barrios in Buenos Aires.

This lively area boasts a vibrant tango and artistic scene. The antiques markets, street lanterns (known locally as faroles), cobbled streets, old-fashioned buildings and original décor give the place its unique bohemian atmosphere.  Sundays are the busiest days as the famous street market come to life in Plaza Dorrego.

La Boca & Caminito

Our tour then moves to La Boca neighbourhood, home to the Boca Juniors stadium and the vibrant "Caminito" street.  Here you will be enchanted by the dancing and singing of tango and learn how soccer, tango and the different influences of immigration have made Buenos Aires one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Puerto Madero

We will take in the views of the modern skyscrapers at Puerto Madero and the Puente de la Mujer from the bus.  And we will take down to the sophisticated area of Recoleta.

Plaza de Mayo

We will cross the bridge towards Plaza de Mayo, Buenos Aires main square and the political heartland of Argentina. We visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and observe the Cabildo (the Colonial Town Hall) and Casa Rosada, the Pink Presidential Headquarters Office.

Obelisco - 9 de Julio Avenue

Then, we will reach the Obelisco, a monument which is itself a symbol of Buenos Aires. We will be a part of this incredible city, getting a glimpse of what everyday life looks like for an Argentinian and making our way down the widest street in the world: the 9 de julio Av.

Historical buildings, monuments and streets reveal the story and growth the city has experienced over the years.

Recoleta Cemetery

We'll spend about 15 minutes exploring the famous cemetery of Recoleta, home to some of Argentina's most important people. Then, we'll hop on the bus for a short ride to Palacio Barolo.

Palacio Barolo

At 4 PM, we will meet with our guide in the entrance hall of the palace. Our tour of the palace will begin in the ‘9 circles of hell’, continue on to ‘purgatory’ and then lead us into ‘paradise’, all the while our professional guides tell the story of the palace and explain the significance of the divine symbols throughout.  6 floors up, we will can look out from the best 360° view in Buenos Aires: the top of the old lighthouse in the palace dome. The views from here are utterly unforgettable.
