Day 1 Safety Briefing and Orientation

Meet and greet at the marina - meet your flotilla leader and crew, followed by a round of introductions to the other members of the flotilla. A quick round of safety instructions followed by sail planning and discussion on the week's itinerary.

Day 2 Sail towards Nidri

Sailing in the morning after breakfast towards Nidri, passing by Sparti and Madouri islands. Spending the night at Vlicho on anchor.

Day 3 Sail towards Meganisi after breakfast

Sail towards Meganisi aiming for Spartachori, or Vathy for an overnight stay. Spartachori has a charming little beach and features the amazing Porto Spilia taverna and restaurant. run by 2 brothers, Panos and Babis. The settlement is located close to Spartochori's natural port. It is made up of century-old pubs and stone cottages that have not been altered by modern development. A breathtaking sweeping vista is presented by the deep blue bay and the high-cliff settlement.

Vathy, one of the main villages of Meganisi island, is a charming little village with a marina. It is situated at the end of an inlet on the island's northeastern coast. Vathi has a lovely harbor with deep blue waters that are suitable for sailing and fishing.

During the summer, the quay, which is crowded with boats, offers a picturesque overview of the village. With its tangle of whitewashed houses and lanes and its few churches facing the sea, the hamlet is rather charming. Many restaurants and pubs serve delectable regional cuisine.

Day 4 Sail towards Fiskardo

Fiskardo is a quaint fishing village located about 50 KM north of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. It is surrounded by lush hills with cypresses and olive trees. Fiskardo has a port and also a marina that is considered a sailors paradise and is densely packed with yachts in the summertime.

Tasteful taverns, bars, and shops dot the harbor, offering plenty of attractions for the traveler.

Day 5 Sail towards Sami after breakfast

A quick day sail to Sami, followed by lunch at Sami. Sailing towards Vathy after lunch, or overnight at Sami marina, depending on the winds and weather. Sami is a beautiful coastal town whose inhabitants are mostly engaged in agriculture and fishing. One of Kefalonia's main ports is based in Sami. Many ferries from Patra, Astakos, Ithaca, Spartachori and Italy arrive and depart every day. Ancient Sami is one of the most important archeological discoveries in Kefalonia.

The Melissani caves, about 30 minutes by walk from Sami Marina, is a stunning cave system that you can tour by rowboats. Entry tickets are sold at the cave site.

Day 6 Sail towards Kastos and Kalamos

Sailing towards Kastos, to the northeast. Kastos is the perfect Ionian Island retreat, endowed with gorgeous beaches, tranquility, and a delectably peaceful, unspoilt way of life.
With only about 50 permanent residents, Kastos is a tiny jewel that is only 8 km from north to south and less than 1 km from east to west. Its small size combined with its pristine beauty makes it the perfect getaway from it all.
The incredibly clear and pure water that laps Kastos's coastlines draws swimmers, snorkelers, scuba divers, and sailors in with its allure. While the east is home to a string of little sandy-pebbly beaches and paradisiacal bays with transparent, electric blue waters, the west is mostly distinguished by a rocky, element-sculpted coastline.

Overnight stop at Kastos or Kalamos, depending on the winds and weather.

Day 7 Sailing back towards Lefkas after breakfast

Sailing back towards Lefkas Marina after breakfast. Swim stops along the way for those inclined to have a leisurely swim.

  • Overnight on the boat at Lefkas Marina.
  • Final night dinner with all flotilla guests, flotilla leader and crew. The charges for dinner for your party are your own responsibility.
