Stage 1

The Taj Mahal is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the south bank of the Yamuna river in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan, to house the tomb of his favourite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan, the builder.

Stage 2

Agra Fort is a historical fort in the city of Agra in India. It was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. The Agra fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is about 2.5 km northwest of its more famous sister monument, the Taj Mahal.

Stage 3

Mehtab Bagh is a charbagh complex in Agra, North India. It lies north of the Taj Mahal complex and the Agra Fort on the opposite side of the Yamuna River, in the flood plains. The garden complex, square in shape, measures about 300 by 300 metres and is perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal on the opposite bank

Stage 4

Mirza Ghiyas Beg, also known as Itimad-Ud-Daulah, was a Persian aristocrat. He went to the Mughal court and joined it. He quickly rose to the position of Akbar's lord treasurer. Nur Jahan, his daughter, had great administrative skills and was incredibly passionate. This attracted Jehangir's notice and enabled her to assume responsibility in the court. Jehangir, Akbar's son, soon wed Nur Jahan. In Jehangir, Itimad-Ud-Daulah became the Chief Minister. After Itimad-Ud-Daulah passed away in 1622, his daughter intended to erect a marble mausoleum in his honor. The structure's primary purpose is to mimic a jewel box in the midst of a verdant garden.
