Sintra Mountains

Welcome to the stunning Serra de Sintra, a beautiful mountain range just a few kilometers from Lisbon. This natural and cultural gem attracts visitors from all over the world. With its green hills, valleys, and ancient rock formations, the Serra de Sintra offers a unique mix of nature and history, making it a truly special place to explore.

Casa do Preto

The Queijada from Casa do Preto is one of Sintra’s most beloved traditional sweets. With a crispy base and a rich, slightly caramelized filling made from fresh cheese, egg, and sugar, this small pastry has won the hearts of generations.

Casa do Preto, founded in 1931, quickly became famous not only for the quality of its queijadas but also for its welcoming atmosphere and picturesque location at the entrance of Sintra. The name “Casa do Preto” honors the nickname of the founder, a charismatic figure in the village at the time.

Over the years, this house has maintained its reputation as one of the best places to taste Sintra’s most traditional flavors, offering a perfect stop to enjoy a sweet break with a view of the mountains..

Sabuga fountain

Hidden near Sintra’s historic center, the Sabuga Fountain is a quiet and charming spot. Dating back to the 17th century, it’s known for its fresh, mineral-rich water. Local tradition says the water had healing powers, especially for eye problems, and many came to drink or wash their eyes here.

Surrounded by greenery on a peaceful path to the old village, the fountain offers a relaxing break. Whether for its history, legends, or a quick pause, the Sabuga Fountain is a small but special part of Sintra.

Moorish Castle (Pass by)

Welcome to Castelo dos Mouros, an ancient stronghold perched high in the Serra de Sintra. Built during the Moorish era, its sturdy stone walls and towers whisper tales of past battles and military tactics. From the ramparts, enjoy sweeping views of rolling hills that stretch all the way to the sea.

Please note: we won’t enter the castle’s interior and tickets are not included.

Pena Palace & Park

The highlight is Pena Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we'll focus our visit on the beautiful park and gardens (outside only/Park), exploring the nature trails, viewpoints, and hidden corners surrounding the palace. We won't enter the crowded royal interiors, as the real charm lies in appreciating the natural beauty, stunning vistas, palace terraces, exterior architecture, and access to the cafeteria.

Quinta da Regaleira

Discover one of Sintra’s most enchanting sites at Quinta da Regaleira: explore the famous Initiation Well, wander through mystical caves, and stroll its magnificent gardens—all within this captivating estate.

Colares (with Lunch Break)

Welcome to Colares, a charming village on the edge of the stunning Sintra mountain range. Known for its natural beauty and ancient vineyards, Colares offers a peaceful and authentic atmosphere.

During our visit, we’ll take a scenic drive through the village, with time to enjoy the narrow cobblestone streets, traditional houses, and quiet squares. We'll also stop for lunch at a typical local restaurant, where you can enjoy regional flavors in a relaxed setting.

Cabo da Roca

Discover Cabo da Roca, Europe's westernmost point, offering breathtaking views and perfect photo opportunities of the endless sea at the continent's edge.
