🛻 Shahdag – The Start of Our Off-Road Journey
Departing from Baku at 8:00, we travel to Shahdag, one of the country’s most beautiful mountain regions. From here, the real adventure begins as we switch to off-road vehicles, ready to conquer rugged trails and reach Azerbaijan’s highest mountain villages.
🏔️ Quba – Gateway to the Caucasus
Our first major stop is Quba, a charming town nestled at the foot of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Known for its diverse ethnic communities and stunning scenery, Quba serves as the perfect introduction to the wilderness that lies ahead.
❄️ Griz – The Village with Azerbaijan’s Longest Snow Season
One of the most remote and difficult-to-reach settlements in Shahdag, Griz is famous for having Azerbaijan’s most extended snow cover. With its unique terraced architecture and traditional way of life, Griz offers a glimpse into the resilience of mountain communities.
🏕️Galakhudat – The Roof of Quba
At 2,270 meters above sea level, Galakhudat is the highest village in the Quba region and the third highest in Azerbaijan. A paradise for nature lovers and mountaineers, this village features dramatic cliffs and panoramic views that are simply breathtaking.
⛰️ Khinalig – The Ancient Highland Civilization
Finally, we reach Khinalig, one of the most mystical villages in the Caucasus! Perched high in the mountains, Khinalig remained isolated for centuries, preserving a unique and unclassified language. The village’s ancient stone houses and surrounding cliffs create a timeless and awe-inspiring setting.
After soaking in the beauty of Khinalig, we begin our return journey, leaving behind one of Azerbaijan’s most incredible off-road experiences.
8:00 - Depart from Baku – Pick-up from your hotel and drive to Shahdag
11:00 - Arrive in Shahdag & have quick lunch
11:30 - Switch to Off-Road Vehicles. Off-road tour begins (7 hours). Quba - Giriz - Galakhudat – Khinalig
18:30 - Return to Baku – Sit back and relax as we head back to the city
21:30 - Drop-off at your hotel – End of an unforgettable adventure!
