The day spent wandering through Monschau and Aachen was a delightful blend of history and stunning scenery. I particularly loved visiting the beautiful red-brick buildings in Monschau, where I lost myself in the local shops and enjoyed a delicious slice of cake at a cozy café. The only downside was that the tour felt a bit rushed at times, especially in Aachen, where I wished I could have lingered longer at the cathedral. Nonetheless, the private nature of the experience allowed for a personalized touch, making it easy to ask questions and dive deeper into the region’s history. Overall, this trip provided a great way to explore the picturesque Eifel cities while soaking in the rich culture of Belgium and beyond.

Exploring the charming streets of Monschau was a highlight of our day, especially when we stumbled upon the stunning Rur River flowing through the town. The private aspect of the tour allowed us to linger at the historical buildings and soak in the scenery of Aachen as well, which felt personalized and special. While the itinerary was packed, we wished we had a bit more time in each city to fully appreciate the unique character of the Eifel region.

We had an incredible experience exploring the historic towns of Monschau and Aachen, each bursting with unique stories and architecture. The highlight for us was definitely the stunning Aachen Cathedral, which truly left us in awe with its intricate design and rich history. While the private aspect allowed us to delve deeper into the local culture, we did find that some parts of the tour felt a tad rushed, especially when we wanted to linger longer at certain sights. The scenic drive through the Eifel region added a lovely backdrop to our day, making it even more memorable. Our guide was knowledgeable and offered fantastic insights that enhanced our appreciation of the cities. However, we wished there had been a bit more time allocated for lunch, as we were eager to try some local specialties. Overall, this day trip was a wonderful blend of exploration and cultural immersion.
