Itinerary

Tour duration: 6-7 hours

Great Wall at Huanghuacheng, Beijing
-Pick up at your Beijing hotel
-Huanghuacheng, a two hour drive from Beijing, is a wild section of the Great Wall built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Since this section is less visited by tourists, it provides the perfect getaway for a private experience of one of the most authentic sections of the Great Wall.
-We use our relationships with local farmers to cross their property, allowing you to take a stroll through fruit fields, hiking 20 minutes further on a small trail to reach a secluded section of the Great Wall.
-Once you arrive, the scenery will leave you speechless. As you relax and enjoy your picnic, have your cameras ready to capture the beauty of the sun dipping down through the sky, creating spectacular views that you will not soon forget.
-After spending 3 hours on the Great Wall, we will head back to drop you off at your Beijing hotel

Experiencing the sunset at Huanghuacheng Great Wall was breathtaking; I found a perfect spot to unwind with a picnic while watching the colors change in the sky. The private nature of the tour allowed me to savor every moment without feeling rushed, though I wish there had been a few more options for snacks. Overall, it was a memorable way to appreciate this stunning part of Beijing, and I left with a heart full of joy and a camera full of beautiful shots.

Finding a quiet spot atop the wall, I savored a delightful picnic while the sky transformed into a canvas of oranges and pinks. The experience of enjoying good food in such an incredible setting felt intimate, though I wished the hiking portion had been a little less strenuous. Still, witnessing the sunset amid such majestic scenery made every step worthwhile, and I left feeling uplifted and inspired.

With the sun setting behind the rolling hills, we truly appreciated the atmosphere during our picnic atop the ancient structure. The scenic views were breathtaking, and the food spread was curated beautifully, adding a personal touch to our experience. A minor drawback was that the hike to our spot felt a bit longer than expected, but it was worth every step for the peaceful escape we found together.
