Embark on an unforgettable journey to one of Thailand's famous floating markets. Cruise through the scenic canals in a traditional long-tailed boat, passing by quaint Thai houses until you arrive at the bustling market. Here, small boats brim with coconut pancakes, palm sugar, souvenirs, sun hats, and an array of exotic fruits like pomelo, rambutan, and durian, offering a sensory feast of colors and flavors.

After the market, we journey to one of Thailand’s oldest cities, Petchaburi. Following a delightful lunch, we visit two must-see attractions. The first stop is the majestic Phra Nakhon Khiri, also known as the summer palace, which sits high atop a mountain overlooking the town. Once a retreat for Kings Mongkut and Chulalongkorn in the 1800s, this palace is now a museum that showcases its regal history. We ascend the mountain by cable car, a stark contrast to the days when elephants and horses were the primary means of reaching this royal residence.

The final highlight of the day is the serene yet awe-inspiring Khao Luang cave. As we descend the 100 steps into the cave, a mystical subterranean world unfolds before us. Stalactites hang from the ceiling, and Buddha statues are illuminated by beams of sunlight filtering through openings above. Outside the cave, playful monkeys may approach, curiously inspecting whether we carry any treats.

In the late afternoon, we return to Hua Hin, enriched with the memories of a day filled with unique sights and experiences.

Please Note

  1. Weather & Clothing: Thailand can be hot and humid, so dress in lightweight, breathable clothing. Don’t forget to bring a hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses for sun protection. If visiting temples, ensure you are modestly dressed, covering shoulders and knees.
  2. Currency & Payments: The local currency is the Thai Baht (THB). While larger shops and restaurants may accept credit cards, it's a good idea to carry some cash for smaller purchases, especially at local markets.
  3. Boat Rides: The long-tailed boat ride to the Floating Market is an open-air experience, so you may want to bring a light jacket for windy conditions or rain. A row boat ride within the market is not included in the tour but can be purchased directly from local operators.
  4. Footwear: Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as there will be some walking involved at sites like the local market and temples, as well as climbing steps in places like Khao Luang Cave.
  5. Monkeys: At certain attractions like Khao Luang Cave, you may encounter monkeys. While they can be playful, it’s best to avoid feeding them and keep your belongings secure.
  6. Health Precautions: Bring insect repellent, especially for visits to outdoor areas or markets. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, inform the guide in advance so they can accommodate your needs during lunch.
  7. Tips & Gratuities: Tipping is not mandatory but appreciated. It’s customary to tip guides and drivers (100-200 THB per person is recommended).
  8. Cultural Etiquette: When visiting temples or sacred sites like Wat Mahathat, respect local customs by removing shoes before entering and keeping noise to a minimum. Avoid touching Buddha statues or monks unless instructed otherwise.
  9. Personal Expenses: Be prepared for any personal expenses such as souvenirs, beverages, or camera fees at certain sites. Keep small change handy for such occasions.
  10. Travel Insurance: It’s a good idea to have comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, personal belongings, and any unexpected changes in travel plans.
