Blue Lagoon (2 hours) The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal SPA in southwestern Iceland. It is located in a lava field 5 km from Grindavík and in front of Mount Þorbjörn on the Reykjanes Peninsula, in a place favorable for geothermal power, and is supplied by water used in the nearby Svartsengi Geothermal Power Station.Named one of 25 wonders of the world by National Geographic in 2012, the Blue Lagoon was honored for its unique geothermal seawater.
