Day 1 Itinerary
:You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and driven to Yala in an air-conditioned vehicle. Arrive at the campsite in early afternoon and check in to your deluxe tent on the beach. Soon after you will be enjoying your lunch at the campsite. In mid-afternoon you will head out with your English-speaking guide to the Yala National Park for an evening safari. The park has one of the highest leopard densities in the world. Its elephant heard numbers between 300 and 350. This is the best park in the country to see and photograph leopards, and elephants, as well as mammals such as sloth bears, black-naped hare, spotted deer, Sambar deer, Hanuman langur, toque macaque, stripe-necked and ruddy mongooses, wild boar, and golden jackal. You may see reptiles such as the land and water monitor and the marsh crocodile. Return to the campsite after and enjoy your private alfresco shower, followed by drinks and appetizers around the campfire on the beach. Later, enjoy your dinner at the tree hut or on the beach.
Day 2 Wake Up and Jeep Safari in Yala National Park
Wake up at dawn to freshly brewed Ceylon tea or coffee, then head out for an early morning Jeep safari in the Yala National Park. This will be another chance to witness the leopards if you were not able to witness in the evening safari. You will have some free time to get off by the river or beach in the park during this safari. At 9-10am, after you've returned from your safari, enjoy some freshly squeezed juices from seasonal fruits followed by breakfast. You will check out at 11:00am and be transferred back to your hotel.
