And is also the land of the Medici family! The first Medici man was born in the Mugello countryside. Here, the wine arrives late and chooses the opposite path. It runs through the subtle and balsamic aromas and textures of Pinot Noir. And at the end of the old millennium, thanks to some courageous pioneers, that grape symbol of Burgundy becomes one of the protagonists of the rebirth of Mugello.

Explore the famous Mugello land and visit a famous Mugello winery (wine tour and tasting). Guided visit of the cellar and the vineyard + tasting of 2 pinot noirs (Fortuni + Coldaia) + 1 white wine “Greto alla Macchia” accompanied by cold cuts, cheeses and flatbreads / focaccia. The winery has a cellar specifically structured to have continuous and efficient quality control. The winery produce 100% organic wines, as we are gradually approaching organic cultivation. Following the collection and reception of the grapes, the bunches are scrupulously checked on two sorting tables, and then proceed with the control of the grapes after destemming. This phase represents for us one of the most important points in order to always ensure a high quality of the finished product. All our Pinot ferment in conical wooden vats with controlled temperature; fermentations last from 18 to 25 days and are carried out by natural yeasts.
