Half-Day Off-Road Mountain Biking Across the Mekong
This half day tour takes you to some destinations. The time in each destination can be flexible as your request as long as it doesn’t affect the whole plan.
At the departure time, you will be greeted and picked up at your hotel’s lobby by a professional English speaking guide. He will accompany you on every step of the journey. You will be taken to a mountain bike shop to choose a quality mountain bike as your companion in the journey.
Then, you will start your biking tour by riding to the Mekong River where you embark on a ferry to cross the river. It’s not far from the bike shop. The bike will be with you to cross the river.
Arriving at the shore, you will hop on the bike to explore the other side of the Mekong River. You will cycle off-road through beautiful rice fields and peaceful villages. You will enter a village, meet villagers when they are at work and observe their daily activities as well as the real life on the back roads of Laos. This area hasn’t been visited much by foreigners.
In total, you will ride about 35 km on dirt roads with some hill and stream crossing. The level of difficulty is medium.
