Our week in Lào Cai was nothing short of magical; waking up to the breathtaking views of Sapa’s terraced rice fields felt like a dream. While we loved the vibrant markets in Bac Ha, the long travel times to some of the more remote gems, like Ha Giang, could be a bit taxing on our patience.

Exploring Lào Cai in Vietnam was a refreshing escape, especially the stunning scenery in Sapa and Bac Ha. I loved the overnight stays in local homestays; they felt authentic and gave me a taste of the culture. My only minor hiccups were the occasional difficulty in communication with some hosts and a few long travel days, but the breathtaking views of Ha Giang’s treasures made it all worthwhile.
