About This Tour

For incredible views of the Himalayas, you don’t have to go far from Kathmandu. The high hills ringing the valley provide for an awe-inspiring view of the great snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.

The Kathmandu Skyline Trek starts at the ancient village of Changu Narayan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It takes you to the top of Nagarkot for an outstanding sunrise and sunset over the Himalayas and then drops down to the picturesque village of Dhulikhel. Finally, you reach the sacred Buddhist pilgrimage site of Namo Buddha before taking a private vehicle back to Kathmandu.

The journey is considered an easy to moderate trek. Close to Kathmandu, yet you will still feel a million miles away from the traffic and city activity. Instead, you will trek often above the clouds as you make your way along the eastern rim of the legendary Kathmandu Valley. We started at 9 am after breakfast from your hotel and reach Nagarkot approx 3 pm.
