In this private tour to Sintra, we will travel along the Atlantic coast passing Cascais, a village intrinsically connected to the sea.Travel in a spacious, air-conditioned private vehicle to enjoy the panoramic views along our coastline from Cascais to Cabo da Roca, the most westerly point in continental Europe.Arriving to Sintra, discover the first "cultural landscape" to be inscribed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. And for a very good reason: Sintra, is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the country. With its hills, exotic gardens and brightly coloured palaces, it looks like a town out of a fairytale book.This will be a half-day tour, so we will focus on the most important and stunning sites starting our tour by visiting one of the most beautiful and most admired palaces in Portugal: the Pena Palace (by selecting the option).The Pena Palace is majestically located at the top of the Sintra Mountain: a perfect example of Romantic architecture in Portugal. This Palace is a truly exotic and exuberant place, with facades of strong and fascinating colours, and its Park has more than 200 hectares of pure art, composed of many gardens, ponds, bridges, and fountains.

Stage 1

Depart your Nairobi Hotel and drive to the Hells Gate National Park with stops at view points to marvel at the scenic Great rift valley escarpment. Hell’s Gate is one of Kenya's smaller National Parks, which can be explored on foot and do some cycling. Arrive at the gate of Hell's Gate around mid morning, start biking tour within hell's gate, some people will opt to drive which is also allowed. Animals seen here include Bushbucks, Dikdiks, Giraffes, Gazelles, Gnus, Hartebeests, Impalas, Klipspringers, Buffaloes, Hyraxes, Zebras, Hyenas, Jackals, Mongooses, Baboons, Monkeys and Porcupines amongst others. The park has historically been an important home for the rare lammergeyer vultures. See the view of gorges, capture beautiful panoramas of the gorge's small thin depressions of land mass from outside. then head to Lake Naivasha.

Stage 2

Then at 1pm have Lunch (own expense-available for purchase) . At 2pm, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Lake Naivasha (for option selected )where you can see some of the local wildlife which includes hippos, buffalo, fish eagles, pelicans and much more for 1 hour. End of the tour drive back to Nairobi arriving around 6pm.

In case of high risk of wildfires, the visit to Pena Palace will be replaced with a visit Queluz Palace! In case of strike , we will replace the Pena Palace with Regaleira Estate.
Please note that if you choose the option to visit both Pena Palace, the tour of Cascais and Estoril will be only panoramic. If you choose the tour without inclusions, the visit to Pena Palace will not be included.
